About Polar Mist

Polar Mist develops and produces autonomous maritime systems for defense and security applications. AI-first and full-stack, we are doing what it takes in the mission of building maritime supremacy for Europe.

The Role

You'll work closely with our head of mechatronics and be a key part of development. The role is broad, hands-on, and requires you to take ownership, drive your own work, and deliver.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop components and systems in CAD

• Take solutions from idea to working prototype

• Work hands-on with hardware and mechanical systems

• Participate in integrating electronics and software

• Test, debug, and iterate quickly in real-world environments

Requirements

• Relevant engineering degree (mechanical, mechatronics, or similar)

• Highly skilled in CAD (e.g. SolidWorks or Fusion 360)

• Used to working hands-on and making things work in the real world

• Takes ownership, drives their own work, and keeps pace

Bonus

• Experience in product development or personal projects

• Experience integrating mechanics, electronics, and software

• Experience operating boats, ideally with a skipper's licence or equivalent

• Military experience
